lol , thanks man. I don't know about raising that bar I think the best entries are still yet to be submitted?.. They probably wait till the very end, then all the real pro's come out and claim their prizes
Atleast that's how it goes most of the time when I enter some contest thing ...
Yeah..I hear that...well I'm taking one more huge swing at this contest...I have one more submission I am working on...and hopefully it will be epic enough to hold a candle...but I think you're right, these pro pieces popping up are insane! What I appreciate about your and a handful of others, is not only the quality but the fact that you clearly painted all of it...I've seen quite a few entrants that have refurbished something they had in their gallery before the contest started-which should not count-or have copy and pasted asset photo pieces together into some kind of Frankenstein piece work as if others won't catch it! So I respect your honorable submission...I have no problem being beat out, but I want it to be by a genuinely dope and honest artist, not a punk cheater, ya know! So respect bro!
I know exactly what you mean man I'm personally not always a fan of that kind of work myself, though sometimes when its done by someone who knows what he's doing it could actually look pretty good! But people who revamp old stuff or resubmit work are people who want to win something without doing actual effort. Which is a bit disrespecting to all the others ( good and bad ) who have worked their ass of to create something for this contest
I even saw someone submitting official art done by blizzard.. Which I just don't quite understand why haha
Anyway, best of luck with your other submission! Win or lose, its good practice nonetheless right! So if you see it like that,, we are all winning!
I was wondering about drawing with Manga Studio5 or Sketchbook.. they seem to have a better lining. I didn't installed MS5 yet but I was intending to. Maybe it's a lot different. I'm using Ps for some years too.
Okay cool, for me the software is just a tool to create art, I don't care so much for what it can do or how its named If I had the time and clients would let me, I'd paint in oils or draw with pencils anything aslong as I can create!
Haha! You are right, but we tend to be hyper critical about our own creations, which is good.. as that what triggers us to do better! Anyway, ur not that much of a nabcake, I checked your stuff and it looks cool! I m not sure if you know the artist; mucha.. if not.. check him out! I think you'd really like his work!

Oh we are! I mostly tend to toss my lines to one of my friends to toss down her redlines of doom on it these days, that's already a good help And thanks for the kind words! I'm slowly getting there, eventually! If only my shoulder didn't hurt as much, I would progress a lot faster (damnable carnaval in holland and the doctors being closed. Wanted to go this friday, but nope! ) And I will look him up later, thanks for the suggestion and all that! I always like following more artists and seeing pretty art pop by!
